How Enrollment Works

  • Submit an Application. A $45 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of application. Please make sure to provide your most updated email address and phone number, and fill out all relevant sections of the application.

  • Get Notified. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your application being processed, and your fee has been received. This email will confirm the schedule you requested — if we're unable to accommodate your requested days, we'll offer alternative schedule options for you to choose from instead. If no spots are currently available, we'll add your child to our waitlist and reach out as soon as a spot opens up.

    • To confirm and hold your child’s spot, we ask that you reply to this email notification promptly

    • Once you confirm, you will receive our Member Handbook along with additional details about the upcoming school year, including the school calendar.

  • Submit Required Records. Before your child’s first day of school, you’ll need to:

    • Submit complete immunization records and health forms. See our Policies below for more details about health records.

    • Complete the digital Membership Packet, including a Child Information Form, Participation Waiver, Sickness Policy Acknowledgement, and Member Handbook Acknowledgement.

Our Policies

Immunization Policy

Stone School Cooperative Preschool requires that every enrolled child have a complete and up-to-date immunization record on file according to the state-recommended immunization schedule. This is a requirement of our program, set by our Board of Directors, and applies to all families without exception. Stone School accepts medical, religious, and philosophical waivers in accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services' immunization waiver process, which requires parents to complete a state-provided education session at their local health department prior to submitting a non-medical waiver.

In addition to immunization records, families must submit a Health Appraisal Form signed by a licensed health care provider prior to attendance, and keep it updated as required by state licensing regulations. Children will not be able to begin attending school until these requirements are met.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Stone School Cooperative Preschool admits children and families of any race, religion, creed, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, marital status, familial status, height, weight, age, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal or Michigan law. We do not discriminate in the administration of our admissions policies, educational programs, or school activities, and we are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children and families.

These policies represent a summary of key requirements. Upon enrollment, families receive our full Member Handbook, which outlines all school policies in detail.
